We believe that the most impactful medical education experiences start with a clear understanding of what’s compelling to the audience. What do they need to know that will make them think, feel, and do differently?
At Bedrock, we believe that well-informed people make better decisions, and our role is to ensure the communications solutions we deliver are as impactful and relevant as possible. It allows us to work with clients to create a strategy that meets the aspirations they have for their products, programmes and services to best serve their patients and customers. So much is changing in terms of how we reach and bring value to HCPs that what may have worked last year isn’t necessarily the right approach now. This means we question everything. ARISE is based on a simple philosophy: first seek to understand, then to be understood.
How does ARISE work and, how could it help you? Bedrock’s MD Marie Little talks through the process and what it brings to clients.
What’s the objective behind ARISE?
As Marie explains, it’s a very straightforward process and is something so core to our work that it’s very much ‘the bedrock of Bedrock’. “ARISE is a great foundation for everything we do. It stands for Aspiration Reality Inspiration Strategy Execution. It’s a framework to make sure that we have a depth of understanding before we start to look at the direction we, or our clients need to take. I love the simplicity of it, the impact it has and the clarity it provides.”
Many planning processes can be quite formulaic. ARISE is about a broader way of thinking. Marie talks through what makes it different. “We develop a really good understanding of the client’s aspiration for their brand, for their therapy area, for their patients, for themselves, from the get-go. We also look at the customer and patient aspiration to ensure their needs are met. Then we perform a deep dive into what their reality is, so we both know where they are starting from, and where they want to get to. When we understand the complete and honest picture, we look at what’s going to be compelling to the audience and bring about that fundamental shift in thinking. What will achieve the aspiration, given the current reality? This distillation informs our inspiration. From this we can develop a strategy, based on insights, and measurable plans to make sure they achieve it. It doesn’t stop there; this is an agile process – we monitor KPIs, we measure, we learn, we refine. It’s a continual loop to ensure success, as reality and aspiration can change as time goes on. Through ARISE we can look at a broader picture and bring that experience to our clients.”
How does ARISE fit with Bedrock’s values?
