Annlou Pendse
Executive Director
I have more than 20 years of experience leading strategic healthcare communications programmes for global pharmaceutical organisations. My background combines scientific research and communications leadership. Following a PhD in Molecular Biology and several years in neuroscience research, I moved into healthcare communications, where I have spent my career helping clients translate complex science into clear, engaging and impactful communications. I have led multidisciplinary teams across medical education, strategic communications and stakeholder engagement, delivering programmes that drive understanding, influence behaviour and support better outcomes for patients and healthcare communities. I am passionate about building high-performing teams and developing strong client partnerships founded on trust, collaboration and shared ambition. I believe the most effective solutions come from combining scientific excellence with diverse thinking, creativity and a relentless focus on quality. Beyond work, I am an active volunteer and supporter of London based charitable initiatives. These experiences continue to reinforce the values that matter most to me: integrity, empathy and making a meaningful difference to the communities we serve.

Healthcare is evolving at pace, and I enjoy helping organisations navigate that complexity to create programmes that make a meaningful difference for our clients and the healthcare communities they support. Over the past two decades, I have partnered with global pharmaceutical companies to develop strategies that connect scientific evidence with real-world practice. My experience spans medical communications, market access and strategic consultancy across a wide range of therapy areas, working with multidisciplinary teams to turn ambitious objectives into practical, impactful solutions. As Executive Director at Bedrock, I focus on bringing together exceptional people, diverse perspectives and strategic thinking to help our clients solve their toughest challenges. Whether shaping a global launch strategy, identifying new opportunities for growth or translating complex data into clear, compelling scientific narratives, I am motivated by challenging assumptions, developing innovative solutions and delivering measurable outcomes. I care deeply about creating an environment where talented people can thrive. Ana Sofia Martins-Kaczor
Director of Client Services
Translating complex scientific data into clear, accessible and meaningful information that genuinely resonates with different audiences has always been a passion of mine. After completing my PhD in Molecular Biology-Oncology and several years of postdoctoral research, I decided to move from academia into medical communications. Since then, I have supported global pharmaceutical companies and biotechnology organisations developing programmes that turn scientific insight into meaningful engagement and action. With more than 15 years’ experience in medical communications, I drive excellence in client partnership, programme delivery and audience engagement across complex therapeutic areas, including oncology and rare diseases. I bring scientific curiosity, strategic thinking and a strong commitment to innovation to everything I do, always focusing on what will move the needle for clients, healthcare professionals and the patients they serve. As Director of Client Services at Bedrock, I provide strategic oversight across key portfolio accounts, working closely with the team leads ensuring that our work is insight-led, high quality and commercially well managed. Outside work, I volunteer in my local community in Surrey, where am I a Trustee and Chair of my children’s school PTA, as well as a Trustee and Cub Section Leader with the Scouts Association. These roles reflect what matters most to me: “leaving the world a little better than I found it by helping others grow and thrive”.
